Help Create a Hunger Free Community at WRAL Nights of Lights Food Lion Feeds Night

Brighten your holiday season with WRAL Nights of Lights Drive-Thru Light Show at Dorothea Dix Park, brought to you by WRAL/Capitol Broadcasting Company in partnership with the City of Raleigh. Towering oaks, rolling hills and open fields will be the magical backdrop for this dazzling light show throughout the park. Illuminated trees, festive light displays, and local art installations will delight visitors of all ages along the 1.3-mile route.

On Saturday, December 10, visitors to Nights of Lights will have the opportunity to help create a hunger free community during Food Lion Feeds Night in support of Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Everyone is invited to bring 5 or more cans to donate to the Food Shuttle. In return, you’ll receive a $20 Food Lion gift card (limit 1 per vehicle)!

As food costs continue to rise, more and more families are turning to the Food Shuttle’s partner agencies for help. This increased need is being addressed through an increase in food purchasing. A significant food drive, such as the Food Lion Feeds Night event, helps relieve some of the costs incurred by ensuring that no one goes hungry over the winter months.

Event proceeds from WRAL Nights of Lights benefit several nonprofit agencies, including the Food Shuttle. For additional support, ticket buyers are offered the opportunity to make a donation to the Food Shuttle when purchasing their tickets for the event, which runs November 25 through December 24. Tickets are available here.
