Just because you’re staying at home doesn’t mean you can’t help your neighbors in need. Here are three ways you can help:
1. Host a Neighborhood Food Drive. All you need is a central drop off location and a designated person to bring the collected food to the Food Shuttle. Click here for a list of most needed food items.
We have drop off bins at three sites:
• 1001 Blair Dr. in Raleigh, M-F 8 am to 3 pm and Saturdays 8 am to noon
• 2300 Dover Farm Rd in Raleigh at the Food Shuttle Farm Stand, M-F 8am to 3 pm
• 2436 S. Miami Blvd in Durham, M-F 8 am to 3 pm
2. Swing by for Mobilized Mondays. Curbside drop off is available for your individually collected non-perishable food donations at any of the sites listed above. Help us kick off the week with a full warehouse.
3. Give Virtually! A virtual food drive is a great way to make your donated dollars go further by taking advantage of the Food Shuttle’s bulk purchasing power. Click here to give a virtual food drive donation or to host a drive with your family and friends.
Staying home doesn’t mean staying disengaged from the needs of your community. There’s no better time to step up. We’re all in this together!
