Our Spring Match challenge, made possible by generous funders, including SOLV Energy and the Mead Family Foundation, exceeded the $105,000 goal, raising an additional $70,000 to erase hunger!

Love, Tito’s has a heart for community gardens and increasing access to fresh, healthy foods. Their philanthropic Love, Tito’s Block to Block program, reconnects neighborhoods and creates community gardens and farms throughout the United States. Our hearts are in full bloom knowing that our Camden Street Garden will be the next beneficiary of Block to Block, allowing neighbors with mobility challenges to access our many activities more easily.

Summer Brings Exciting Volunteer Opportunities at the Food Shuttle

City of Raleigh

Funding from the City of Raleigh is restored to $100,000!

We received wonderful news today that the Raleigh City Council restored funding for Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to the original $100,000! On behalf of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, THANK YOU to everyone who wrote emails, made phone calls, and attended the Raleigh City Council meeting last month in support of our efforts to drive hunger from the community. We could not have done it without you! As a result, we are able to fight hunger as we have in the past year.

Thank you for rallying around the Food Shuttle!

Support Inter-Faith Food Shuttle at the Raleigh City Council Meeting tonight!

The Raleigh City Council has faithfully supported Inter-Faith Food Shuttle for years. Because of the turbulent economic times, the Council decided to lower its support of IFFS from $100,000 to approximately $22,500. We desperately need this funding to support Raleigh agencies who work day in and day out to feed our hungry neighbors. Without the funding, our services to the City of Raleigh will significantly decrease.

Come out to the meeting tonight at 7pm.

Stand to support Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.

Email the Council members to restore our funding to $100,000.

Because hunger is unacceptable.

Triangle Community Foundation's Give Back Giveaway

At the Triangle Community Foundation's Annual Holiday Party, guests were each given an envelope with $10. Along with the $10, guests received a challenge to match the money with a personal donation to a charitable organization or a person in the area. Angel Wright-Feldman, Ja'Nell Henry and Haley Rader from the City of Raleigh received envelopes at the party, pulled in additional funds from friends and co-workers and expanded their donation to $100! They chose to drop off a donation to the Food Shuttle, and even stayed for a tour! Thanks to Angel, Haley, and Ja'Nell for supporting the Food Shuttle's fight against hunger.
