Kate Paradise Joins Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Board of Directors

Inter-Faith Food Shuttle welcomes Kate Paradise to the Board of Directors.  Kate serves as Senior Counsel at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, where she manages legal issues pertaining to large group insured health products, claims administration services for self-funded groups and multiple employer welfare arrangements (MEWAs). Kate is also responsible for oversight of diversified products including health savings accounts, health reimbursement accounts, and vision and dental policies.  Kate counsels Blue Cross NC on state and federal legal requirements for group coverage, wellness and disease management programs, Form 5500 requirements, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA and health care reform compliance.  Before joining Blue Cross NC, Kate was an employee benefits attorney at Poyner Spruill LLP in Raleigh.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kate is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and currently resides in Cary with her husband and two children.
