WRAL-TV and MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM Team Up Again For Annual BACKPACK BUDDIES FOOD DRIVE and DAY-LONG MEDIATHON: Wednesday, July 19

RALEIGH, NC - For the second year, MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM and WRAL-TV are joining forces to feed hungry children through the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s child hunger programs. The stations will once again mount a day-long Mediathon on TV, radio, web, and mobile to raise funds on Wednesday, July 19, along with a multiple-location food drive.

One in four children is at risk of hunger in North Carolina, and more than half a million children are going hungry across our state. Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is feeding children at risk of hunger right now, and nurturing long-term solutions that provide access to fresh, healthy food.

ON THE AIR
Phone lines will be open at WRAL-TV on July 19, 6 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Watch WRAL News for Mediathon updates and stories about how donations help fight child hunger in our community.
