HEAT or EAT? A frightening choice.

Right now, more than 275,000 of our neighbors in the seven counties that IFFS serves are struggling to make ends meet. As temperatures drop, many face a horrible decision: Do I buy food or turn on the heat? Thankfully, help is available. Seniors who don't have enough to eat can receive nutritious food from our Mobile Markets and Grocery Bags for Seniors program. Watch as Florence tells you about the difference IFFS made at the senior living center she calls home:

However, thousands of seniors are still skipping meals and shivering in the cold - we urgently need your help!

That's why we're asking you to make a gift today. For every $50 donated, we can rescue and redistribute 400 pounds of food — including healthy fruits and vegetables — to help seniors like Florence.

But there are still so many neighbors who are struggling with hunger, and winter takes the highest toll on our elderly neighbors. So please, whatever you can share, don't hesitate.

With my sincere thanks,

Jill Staton Bullard IFFS Co-Founder & CEO

P.S. For seniors who have illnesses such as diabetes, skipping meals to pay for heat can be life threatening. Please make a gift today. Thank you.
