The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle relies on more than 1,000 volunteers a year to help us operate our innovative solutions to hunger. We appreciate all of them, from the folks who drive trucks or work in our warehouse, to the Volunteers in Operation Frontline, to the Green Thumbs who help with our Farms and Gardens, we couldn't do it without them. Plus, it's a nice bonus to meet people from different lives and backgrounds coming together to fight hunger(Sound like fun? Sign up to become a volunteer here!). All this week we've good friends from the Office of Secretary of State Elaine Marshall coming by and helping us out with BackPack Buddies. The Secretary's Office picked the Food Shuttle to be the beneficiaries of their Annual Holiday Drive and have raised over 2,000 peices of food for BackPack Buddies.
